Youth Mission Trip 2017 ~ Pittsburgh, PA
For the last ten years or so, the young people of Valley and a few fabulous adults have joined Group Mission Trips in workcamp experiences. We go for a week to help with home repair, painting, construction, etc. We always have an amazing time working alongside young people from other churches and getting to know people in other parts of the country.
In 2017, for the first time our youth mission trip was open to those ages 12 and above. As part of Week of Hope, also organized by Group Mission Trips, we worked in Pittsburgh, PA assisting with various community service projects, including work at a local food pantry, helping seniors, leading activities for disadvantaged children, working in a community garden, etc. All week our team sent a daily email with pictures and reflections on the work they were doing.
