Valley Walks
Our Next Adventure - Wadsworth Falls, Middletown, CT - 10/24/26
Our faith lives beyond Sunday morning. Come along for scenic nature walks organized by Mike Ecsedy —a passionate nature enthusiast and devoted Valley member. Together, we’ll bridge our fellowship at Valley with the breathtaking beauty of God's handiwork as we explore local scenic state parks, tranquil wildlife sanctuaries, audubon societies, hiking trails, and other scenic landmarks!
Would you like to join us for our next walk? Simply grab your comfy walking shoes and meet us in the Valley parking lot on Saturday, October 24th at 12:30 PM for our next adventure to Wadsworth Falls, Middletown, CT. The drive takes 1 hour. We will hike along the orange trail until it meets the blue trail, go up to Little Falls, and continue on the blue trail until the blue meets the orange trail again and return. NOTE TO DRIVERS: Set your GPS to go to 25 Cherry Hill Road in Middlefield for the parking lot closest to the falls.
BESIDES COMFY WALKING SHOES WE SUGGEST YOU BRING:
- Water bottle: A reusable bottle or hydration pack is essential even for short walks.
- Light snacks: Energy bars, trail mix, or fruit for longer routes.
- Sun protection: Sunglasses, a wide-brimmed hat, and sunscreen.
- Rain gear and/or a light jacket or windbreaker in case the temperature drops.
- Cell phone: Fully charged, for emergencies and taking photos.
- ID and emergency cash: A small amount of money and personal identification.
- Basic first aid: Adhesive bandages or blister pads, tissues, and wet wipes.
- Bug spray: Essential if the walk passes through wooded, grassy, or marshy areas.
