Families with Children
Families of all sizes, shapes and hues are welcomed and cherished at Valley. The church provides an engaging Christian Education program, as well as a Children's Music offerings, for infants through Middle School.
Valley's children and youth assume leadership for special events throughout the year, including Youth Sunday, Palm Sunday, and Children's Christmas Pageant. They also engage in service projects throughout the year, including fundraisers, The Great Halloween Candy Tithe, Christmas Caroling, and other acts of service.

Childcare for Infants and Toddlers
Loving and tender care for infants and toddlers is provided by trained volunteers and professionals in the Nursery (on the lower level) on Sundays from 9:50-11:15 AM. Valley's restrooms are outfitted with changing tables in the women's restrooms.
Church School for ages 3 through 12
Rooted in the Scriptures and the Christian tradition, Valley's Sunday School program offers a range of options for learning, service and friendship. We use Growing in Grace and Gratitude curriculum from the Presbytery, which is focused on the stories of the Bible and upon the development of Christian faith. Our caring and trained teachers, excellent curriculum, and a broad range of enrichment activities offer a variety of ways for children and youth to learn about the Christian faith and participate in the life of the community.
Baptism
Through the sacrament of Christian baptism, our young ones are affirmed as children of God and welcomed into the circle of Christ's church. Baptism is offered throughout the year. To discuss baptism with Rev. Adele, please call the church office at (203) 774-2624.
Confirmation Class
Valley offers an eight-week confirmation class biennially for students in grades 8 and above. Co-led by our pastor and lay leaders, this program guides young people in exploring their faith and prepares them to consider affirming their faith through the rite of Confirmation. Youth Music Ensemble
Music is an integral part of our children's ministry at Valley. Several times a year, our youth (ages 4 and up) gather for rehearsals to prepare for special worship services. We usually sing during Advent/Christmas and on Palm Sunday. We also sometimes learn to sing in several different languages.
